When I got home from work during the night I walked in and saw this sitting on the counter by the door. I guess he must be having issues remembering to grab his lunch when he leaves in the morning:)

Saturday

Even though Kandy is a common nickname I don't like being called that- so this is what I looked up and saw while I was in the shower. Duey thinks he's pretty funny:)

He spent the day working in the basement. We painted it a couple years ago and it has always bugged him that there was a little while showing in spots along the trim. So he took all the trim off, cleaned of the spots of paint that had gotten on the trim a little, and painted behind the trim. He also took everything off the walls, rearranged the furniture (very hard in a long skinny room), cleaned, and started decorating again.

Duey loves Charlie

We keep Charlie downstairs during the day. Every morning when he knows I'm leaving he whimpers all the way down the stairs and snuggles into my neck. That even makes it all the harder to lock him up! Then when I walk away he does the normal going crazy jumping and barking.



I start work at the school at 7am so I have to leave at 6:30am. Duey normally starts at 7 too and always leaves a little before me. I never thought much of it cause he likes to go in a little early and get his truck and things for the day ready. Yesterday he finally tells me that for the last while (cause of later sunrise and colder) he hasn't had to be there till 8am.- So he has been getting up as soon as I get out of the shower and leaving a little before me (almost an hour and a half early) just so he doesn't have to lock Charlie up! I'll admit it does tear at your heart, but too loose out on that much sleep cause you're too soft?!



I guess my first clue should have been when I became full-time at the airport. He said "you should quit your job at the school now so that Charlie can have someone home with him" (not so that I can get sleep or be home or anything:)



That's part of what I love about him!!!:)

Guest Bedroom update

I've had these pictures on my camera for awhile but forgot to post them. I am really liking how the room is turning out. We are mostly done- just some finishing touches whenever we come across the right thing.
The curtains have become kinda a joke for us. I had blue ones picked out to go with the brown and blue theme. Duey had these picked out. We were kinda going back and forth in the store when a couple sales ladies came up to us. (As soon as we left Duey was quick to point out their name tags said "window authorities", so they must know what they're saying) Duey pulls out the paint chips from the bedroom he had been bringing all over with us to ask them which curtains. They had no idea what they were saying when they went on how sharp these ones would look- Now Duey thinks he is a curtain expert too!:) I am starting to get used to the stripes though. Good thing he is being so cute about his gloating:P

Misc.

Miss Kitty loves to lay in here on the warmth from the SRS. It drives Duey crazy then cause sometimes she'll get the cords messed up and pulled out.

Most of the time I don't notice what she's doing, but the other night I actually did cause she layed like this (went side to side once in awhile) in the middle of the living room for a LONG time

Mom and dad came for the day on Sunday:)

For dad's birthday we got tickets for him, Duey, and Kelvin to go to Monster Trucks something or another

Once Charlie realized where all our attention was directed he just couldn't stay out of it!:)

Plus him and dad are buddies

Not sure why she would curl up between medal legs when there are plenty of soft places
